Fez destination

Historical and authentic space, the Medina of Fez preserves the Moroccan heritage inscribed in its ramparts and its labyrinths. Fez, the City of Memories with a thousand and one faces, has many religious monuments (mosques, mausoleums, temples, synagogues, etc.) and many historical monuments (Borj, Medersa, Fondouk, Riad, etc.) which constitute true architectural jewels.

The lively and perfumed souks, the narrow and multiple streets make the charm of Fez where the past blends with the present in an unexpected and authentic way. Unavoidable, Fez is, today, known as "The Athens of Africa", "The Queen of the Maghreb" or even "The Baghdad of the Maghreb", for its history and its role as the spiritual and scientific capital of Morocco.

Built in the early 20th century, Bab Boujloud or The Blue Gate is the main entrance to the old Medina of Fez. Dar Lys is located 10 minutes’ walk from the Blue Gate to access Talaa Kbira and Talaa Sghira, passing through a series of restaurants and cafes typical of the medina.
